ABOUT

East Village opened in Badaro in 2015. Achrafieh came later. The name is borrowed from the New York neighborhood, not quite for the aesthetic, but for the attitude: an open kitchen in Badaro, no pretense about what a good meal requires, laid-back service.

The menu is built around the grill. Steaks, char, the parts of a fire that don’t need explaining. Around that: healthy salads we’d put up against anyone’s, Asian-inspired plates that hold their own, a brunch worth showing up for and so much more.

Chris Karam and Chef Mo build the menu together. Neither is interested in impressing you with the wrong things.
